CHANGING THROUGH THE MODES You only get assistance from the motor when you start to pedal. The motor ‘kicks in’ almost immediately with a nice, smooth transition. On the Assist Switch controller use the up and down arrows to move between the different modes. When you first turn the battery on, the display will light up and show ‘OFF’ in the bottom left corner. Use the up arrow (X) to move into ECO mode, press it again for TRAIL, and again for BOOST. Pressing the down arrow (Y) will take you back down through those modes.
