STEP 18 INSTALL BATTERY Once your battery is fully charged (see page 48) you need to reinstall it back into the bike. Install the battery by inserting the lower tab of the battery into the tab recess hole on the frame of the bike at an angle of approximately 45º (A). Making sure that everything is aligned correctly, simply hinge the battery upwards into position using gentle pressure to push it into place (B). With the battery almost in its final position, use gentle pressure to push it into place, you will hear an audible click as it locates and locks itself into place (C). The battery is now locked in position. If you want to remove the battery you will need to use the key provided with the battery. See page 13 for more information. Do not force the battery into the opening, as it can result in damage to the battery or terminal. 35
