2023 Drag Specialties FatBook

dragspecialties.com | #SINCE1968 exhaust systems, but it is all handmade, a true one-off system. It is an incredible piece, lightweight and just beautiful.” The bike runs on SlyFox Track Pro custom wheels, Bridgestone racing VO2 slick tires and Legend Suspension front and rear for a full-on custom race bike setup. The race bodywork is custom designed. Heath Pinter shaped and fitted the carbon- fiber fairing that was made at SlyFox. Pinter also did custom work to fit the bag mounts and belly pan. Shaun Guardado worked with the fuel tank to modify the shape and create the tank pockets. Carbon fiber SlyFox fenders, saddlebags, saddlebag lids and engine covers complete the lightweight, race bike style. The paint was applied by Kris Echert of Saddlemen. The white and red paint scheme may seem relatively simple, but there is a family story to go with the design. “My father was Stan Fox, a top race car driver,” Fox said. “My father had great success across multiple professional racing classes at the top level of competition before his passing in 2000. One of his most famous paint schemes was white with the red number 9 – he had this color and design on his Midget race car,” Fox said. “This paint is really a way to have multiple generations of the Fox family tied into this build, and a way to honor my father’s memory.” Fox said he is very pleased with the final build. “And one thing that is neat about this build is it really is a bike you can build,” Fox said. “It does have some custom work, but a lot of the parts used in this build are available from Drag Specialties - anyone can order the parts from the catalog. And watch for it at a racetrack and at the Drag truck this season!”
