MUSTANG GAS TANKS • Fat Bob-style custom application, low-tunnel tank holds approximately 3.3 gallons • Feature a 3 / 8 ” NPT-style petcock mount with two 1 / 4 ” NPT crossover fittings • Available as a single-cap design • Measure 19 3 / 4 ” L (including mounting tabs) x 11 1 / 2 ” W x 7 1 / 2 ” H (approximately) NOTE: Not for use on fuel-injected models. ONE-PIECE SMOOTH-TOP STYLE EXTENDED GAS TANKS • Smooth-top tanks eliminate the dash completely and will require custom mounting of ignition switch, dash lights and speedometer • Tanks measure 22 1 / 2 ” L by 16” W; hold approximately 4 gallons • Aero caps are included with tank; screw-in caps are not included and must be purchased separately (use 82-E96 style caps) • Includes all necessary hardware NOTE: 96-99 models require the use of pre-96 petcock. ONE-PIECE 2” EXTENDED GAS TANKS • Gas tanks are fully functional; no dummy extensions • 2” stretch over stock length; capacity is approximately 4.2 gallons • Available in a smooth-top style for use with with standard screw-in or with locking aero cap • Aero cap included; screw-in gas caps sold separately (use 82-E96 style) • Smooth top tanks require custom gauge mounting • Accept late-style petcock (22mm) • Come complete with all necessary mounting hardware NOTE: Seat nose may require modification.
