The build came together as Hofmann organized the list of parts he would use to boost the performance and handling of the stock bike. “I wanted to keep a comfortable handlebar position and floorboards so you have a com- fortable ride, and can really make use of the power,” Hofmann says. “This is a complete, well-rounded performance motorcycle that still has a high level of comfort.” It showcases what can be done with a careful selection of quality parts from the FatBook. “It is not just a big-inch motor,” Hofmann said. “It is a 107 in there. Hofmann is a young, up-and-coming builder who is making a name for himself with his custom bike builds, creating motorcycles with reliable, useable performance, incredible style and a focus on keeping the rider comfortable on the bike. This build style caught the eye of Drag Specialties, and led to Hofmann being asked to build the FatBook cover bike. The bike chosen for the build was an all-new model, a 2019 Electra Glide Standard. “It is a lower-cost model. But the fact it is a very basic bike stock makes it a great platform to do a custom build with,” Hofmann says. Performance baggers are increasing in popularity.
